From LA, head up the Pacific Coast Highway towards San Francisco for what has been defined as one of the best road trips in the world. The scenery is truly amazing and if you’ve got your camera ready, expect to do lots of stops along the way to capture the memories. We’d recommend a slight detour when you begin so you head to Malibu first, purely so you can enjoy the amazing sandy beaches there. Then it’s back onto the highway, where you can take in as many epic destinations as you like. For instance, Santa Cruz, Big Sur and the Julia Pfeffer Burns State Park are amazing places to visit. In fact, at the state park you can see the waterfall that falls beautifully down to the beach – a must have for any Instagram.

Then spend some time in San Francisco, perhaps check out Alcatraz or take a cable car down the iconic steep streets. It’s also home to the famous Redwood trees so make sure to put San Francisco on your list.
